What specific activities does the Büttner-Janz Spinefoundation support?

The purpose of the Büttner-Janz Spinefoundation is to promote scientific research and public health services relating to the human spine in people of all ages, taking account of its interrelationships with external factors such as the demands of work and sporting activities. The Büttner-Janz Spinefoundation works for the public benefit and is not limited to Germany, but is international in scope. The Büttner-Janz Spinefoundation will achieve its goals by e.g.:

  • Providing specialist and financial support to those involved in scientific evaluations and research, such as e.g. doctoral students.
  • Publishing the results of e.g. new scientific knowledge and of surveys that the Büttner-Janz Spinefoundation carries out, oversees or co-finances. 
  • Preparing and/or co-financing measures to raise public awareness of ways to prevent, manage and treat spine-related problems.
